Counseling for anxiety & depression
BRING YOUR LIFE BACK INTO BALANCE
You’ve tried everything to break the cycle of ruminating thoughts, worry, and isolation
Maybe you’ve tried medication and it hasn’t worked (or left you feeling worse), or you’ve tried “self-care” but are still living with a sense of discomfort and unease.
Anxiety or depression is not your fault. Your brain is simply stuck in a pattern—one that, with therapy and Neurofeedback Brain Training, we can help you change.
A proven approach to counseling for
anxiety and depression
There are many factors at play when people struggle with anxiety or depression—not only are your thoughts, emotions, and past experiences influencing how you feel, but your physiology, spiritual health, and relationships are too.
Long-term results come when every part of you is healthy. That’s why therapy with me brings together who you are as a whole person—physically, emotionally, spiritually, and relationally —with evidence-based, science-backed treatments. In addition to research-based therapy methods, which address your thoughts, emotions, and behavioral patterns, we’ll also tap into the power of your brain to self-regulate and go after the root causes of your anxiety or depression.
Together, we’ll create a personalized treatment plan that fits your needs,
which may include:
Evidence-based therapy
We look at who you are as a whole person—emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually—to help you find more satisfaction, fulfillment, and balance in every area of your life.
Neurofeedback brain training
This non-invasive modality has a high success rate for treating anxiety, depression, migraines, insomnia as well as improving focus, concentration, and memory, while teaching the brain to be more calm, alert, content, and relaxed.
Frequently Asked Questions
about Counseling for Anxiety & Depression
Q: What are therapy sessions like?
A: Sessions are 50 minutes long and take place in a very relaxed environment. Typical sessions include the benefits of both traditional talk therapy and neurofeedback brain training (there is no extra cost for brain training during your session). After placing the EEG electrodes and beginning the neurofeedback session, we’ll incorporate talk therapy, discussing the challenges you are facing, processing past experiences, and developing coping skills to help you combat your anxiety and depression with confidence.
Q: How long do I need to be in therapy?
A: This varies from client to client and is dependent on the severity of your symptoms and your goals for counseling. However, neurofeedback brain training is most effective with at least 15-20 sessions to reach sustainable results. If we determine that neurofeedback therapy will be beneficial for you, it will be important to commit to the minimum number of sessions.
Q: How much does counseling for depression and anxiety cost?
A: Self-pay rate is $180 per session. I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield and am out-of-network with all other insurances. If out-of-network, I provide a superbill you can use to file your own claim (most out-of-network insurance policies reimburse a portion of your session).
