Frequently Asked Questions about High Achiever Counseling and Coaching

Q: What are counseling sessions like?

A: Sessions are 50 minutes long and take place in a very relaxed environment. During each session, you’ll get the benefits of both traditional therapy and brain training. After placing the EEG electrodes and beginning the neurofeedback therapy, we’ll incorporate talk therapy into the session. Click here to learn more about this combination and how it can help you.

Q: How long do I need to be in counseling?

A: While this is dependent on every client, brain training and neurofeedback therapy require at least 25-30 sessions to create the new neural pathways that result in long-term results (although you are likely to see changes much sooner). In order to get the most out of counseling, it will be important to commit to the minimum number of sessions.

Q: How much does counseling in Grand Rapids cost?

A: Self-pay rate is $180 per session. I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield and am out-of-network with all other insurances. If out-of-network, I provide a superbill you can use to file your own claim (most out-of-network insurance policies reimburse a portion of your session).

Don’t let what’s holding you back stand in the way of your success.
